Due to world circumstances, this trip ended up not being what we originally thought it would be. However, even step seemed planned by God. We were only able to tour for 1.5 days before war broke out and we had to shelter in place and then figure out a way home with the airspace closed. But the devotional we did with Eagles Wings in that day and a half were relevant. We visited Galilee - a place of many miracles and we prayed for God to do miracles, we saw Simon the Tanner's house where Peter had his vision that lead him to answer the call of a gentile , we worshipped in Paul's cell and we studied about Esther as we were supposed to be there for Purim. As we sheltered in bomb shelters all of those teachings came back. Eagles Wings took care of us exceptionally well and made sure we were safe. The days in and out of bomb shelters were still productive as we learned and worshipped, prayed and fellowshipped. Then Eagles Wings organized our whole group to leave Israel and exit to another country in order for us to fly home. They were professional and caring as they navigated this tense time. We got a first hand look at the lives people live in Israel and in the surrounding nations. Giving us prayer points. So this may not have been the trip I had planned but I am incredibly grateful to have been a part. I appreciate Eagles Wings and all of their organizing and pivoting that they had to do. I am thankful for their generosity!
